Our History.

Established in 2016, ShevGroup originated as the primary construction arm for Liebke and Co Group's property developments. As Liebke and Co expanded their scale and diversified their projects, ShevGroup evolved in parallel, boosting its capacities, expertise, and team.

Joe Shevlin

Managing Director

Joe is a stalwart in the property and construction industry with an extensive history of delivering outstanding projects and an impressive record of accomplishment. This includes his history with some of Canberra's most renowned commercial construction firms, where he has overseen teams of 200+ staff and achieved a turnover of $500m per annum.

Joe's enthusiastic, team-first approach and strong motivation to exceed expectations, means he constantly delivers outstanding service. This is evident by his involvement in many award-winning projects at both a State and National level including receiving two National Project of the Year awards and five ACT Project of the Year awards. Joe is recognised and respected by his peers as a collaborative and empathetic leader who has a reputation of leading from the front. His authentic attitude would never see him ask a staff member to do anything he was not prepared to do himself. In addition to his professional excellence, Joe is a valuable member of the Canberra community who enjoys giving back to the local area that he grew up in and now raises a family in. He regularly contributes to multiple philanthropic endeavours including his recent involvement with the Indigenous Marathon Foundation, supporting the lives of less fortunate community members.

Chief Financial officer

Sean is the Chief Financial Officer at ShevGroup, bringing 20 years of experience across property development, energy utilities and consulting. With a Bachelor of Commerce, Chartered Accounting qualifications and GAICD credentials, he combines rigorous financial oversight with strategic, commercial insight.

Sean leads ShevGroup’s financial strategy, reporting and risk management, driving sustainable growth, operational efficiency and continuous improvement while maintaining strong compliance and governance standards.

Claire Holdom

Contracts Administrator

Claire is a Contracts Administrator at ShevGroup, supporting projects including Ahlei Apartments, Vera Apartments, Carve Mollymook and Olivine Apartments. She brings more than 20 years of administrative and financial experience, with over eight years dedicated to construction, managing subcontractor administration, progress claims, contract execution and financial reporting while maintaining accurate project documentation and reconciliations.

Claire plays a key role in keeping project finances controlled and compliant and in maintaining strong relationships with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.

Site Engineer

Dimitri is a Site Manager at ShevGroup with eight years’ experience and a Bachelor of Building and Construction Management, having progressed from cadet roles through to lead foreman and site manager on large-scale residential and public projects including all three stages of the Republic precinct, Kashmir Apartments, Rivett Childcare and the Australian War Memorial Anzac Hall and Glazed Link

Known for his proactive approach, strong subcontractor relationships and ability to manage complex programs under pressure, he has a proven record of delivering multi‑million‑dollar projects to time, quality and budget expectations, and is currently leading day-to-day site operations at Vera, overseeing both structure and fit-out delivery.

Alexander boasts a rich background in engineering and construction, seamlessly integrating his extensive knowledge and experience as a Project Manager into every project to ensure superior outcomes. His expertise spans stakeholder coordination, strategic planning, budget management, and maintaining uncompromising quality and safety standards.

Overseeing an array of unique projects, Alexander empowers the teams around him, guiding them through complex challenges to facilitate effective problem-solving and project success. Across the construction lifecycle, Alexander demonstrates proficiency in managing project timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation, highlighting his capabilities as a seasoned Project Manager. At ShevGroup, Alexander plays a pivotal role in driving excellence and is recognised as a trusted leader committed to achieving outstanding results in all endeavours. Project Manager

Daniel is an accomplished Project Manager with a proven record of successfully overseeing a diverse array of projects, including those presenting complex logistical challenges. Drawing upon more than two decades of expertise, his leadership and in-depth understanding of quality management principles, procurement strategies and project controls significantly contributes to achieving buildability outcomes within budget and scope.

He has continuously proven instrumental in ensuring compliance, negotiating contractual matters, and providing accurate financial reporting and analysis. He integrates innovative safety, document management, and site access software, boosting project efficiency and safety overall. Daniel’s commitment to continuous learning coupled with years of hands-on experience, ensures superior project outcomes, reflecting his adherence to best practices and protocols. Daniel is an enthusiastic professional with an optimistic perspective, known for his excellent communication and people management skills.

Liam Harrison

Foreman

Liam is a Foreman at ShevGroup, overseeing day-to-day site operations and driving safe, efficient delivery on complex commercial and high-rise projects. With formal qualifications in Building and Construction Management and more than six years of hands-on experience, he has progressed from trade work through cadet and supervisory roles to leading major structural and fit-out stages.

His experience includes key roles on Nightfall, The Establishment, WOVA and The Grande, where he has managed structural works, services coordination, short-term programming and subcontractor oversight, bringing a collaborative leadership style and strong focus on safety, quality and program outcomes to every site.

Angus Yu

Project Engineer

Angus is a Project Engineer at ShevGroup with a Bachelor of Building and Construction Management and two years’ experience, having developed practical skills in project coordination, procurement and site operations, including work on the Australian War Memorial where he assisted with services and site coordination, material procurement and project documentation.

Known for his proactive, detail-oriented approach and strong collaboration with consultants, subcontractors and site teams, Angus focuses on quality, safety and efficient project outcomes, and is currently working on Ahlei and supporting day-to-day delivery across structure, services and fit-out.

Leo Lee

Senior Project Engineer

Leo is a Senior Project Engineer at ShevGroup with five years’ experience on major residential, education and retirement living projects. With a Bachelor of Building and Construction Management and a Diploma of Design, he brings a strong mix of technical, commercial and design literacy to his role, having worked on Aspen Village, The Establishment, ANU Hail Remediation, LDK Amberfield and Heather Apartments.

Skilled in procuring and managing major trade packages, developing short- and medium-term construction programs, coordinating site teams and stakeholders and overseeing safety, quality and cost performance, Leo now applies this experience to Ahlei Apartments, where he manages multiple packages from tender through to completion.
