Our History.

Established in 2016, ShevGroup originated as the primary construction arm for Liebke and Co Group's property developments. As Liebke and Co expanded their scale and diversified their projects, ShevGroup evolved in parallel, boosting its capacities, expertise, and team.

Joe Shevlin

Managing Director

Joe is stalwart in the property and construction industry with an extensive history of delivering outstanding projects and an impressive record of accomplishment. This includes his history with some of Canberra's most renowned commercial construction firms, where he has overseen teams of 200+ staff and achieved a turnover of $500m per annum.

Joe's enthusiastic, team-first approach and strong motivation to exceed expectations, means he constantly delivers outstanding service. This is evident by his involvement in many award-winning projects at both a State and National level including receiving two National Project of the Year awards and five ACT Project of the Year awards. Joe is recognised and respected by his peers as a collaborative and empathetic leader who has a reputation of leading from the front. His authentic attitude would never see his ask a staff member to do anything he was not prepared to do himself. In addition to his professional excellence, Joe is a valuable member of the Canberra community who enjoys giving back to the local area that he grew up in and now raises a family in. He regularly contributes to multiple philanthropic endeavours including his recent with the Indigenous Marathon Foundation, supporting the lives of less fortunate community members.

Natalie Hyde

Chief Financial Officer

Natalie is an innovative, and commercially astute leader with more than 18 years’ experience in various Finance roles including Chief Financial Officer (CFO). She has a proven record of accomplishment in developing and growing new and existing businesses. Natalie is the Founder and Managing Director of Two-Fold Group providing Financial Management services to ShevGroup.

A deeply intrinsic collaboration between ShevGroup and Two-Fold Group is critical in driving the growth and success of ShevGroup. Natalie utilises her experience in liaising at C-Suite and Executive levels along with a results-driven approach to analyse and drive business performance and profitability, through the development and implementation of strategic plans, financial systems, reporting and procedures.

Kiyua Palfi

Accounts

Kiyua is an Accounts Manager who strikes a balance between structure and approachability. She recognises the importance of keeping up with the fast-paced environment of ShevGroup and works tirelessly to stay ahead of the game. Her dedication to the job is unparalleled and she approaches every task with meticulous attention to detail.

Through her expert handling of operational and administrative tasks, Kiyua ensures that all key functions run seamlessly at ShevGroup. Her ability to think outside the box means she is the go-to person in the office for unexplored options, and she consistently rises to the occasion when handling a diverse range of requests.

Mikayla Turska

Business Manager

Mikayla is a dedicated and results-driven professional, bringing over 8 years of expertise in Contracts Administration to ShevGroup. Drawing upon her robust background in both the private and public sectors, Mikayla's extensive understanding of Canberra's Construction Industry allows her to excel in the management of intricate financial, contractual, and operational matters.

Mikayla navigates challenges and resolves conflict seamlessly, demonstrating her adaptability, negotiation skills and ability to thrive in dynamic environments. Striving for excellence, Mikayla's technical experience, keen eye for detail and ability to build effective business relationships uniquely qualifies her to oversee business management operations across diverse sectors, including commercial, mixed-use, educational, health and Government asset classes. Josh Hitchins

Site Manager

Josh is a proactive, multi-skilled engineering and construction professional offering rich experience in construction management. He has extensive expertise in handling multiple building projects such as building design, construction, and project Management.

Josh offers over 15 years of demonstratable site/project management experience and practical exposure of working with major construction firms. As a qualified and experienced professional, Josh possesses valuable insights, keen analysis and applies a team approach to implement best practices at all times. He is adept at working in high pressure environments with strict deadlines and multiple deliverables. Josh has a record of accomplishment in successfully delivering projects, end to end from inception to completion well within time, quality, and budget parameters. He has superior communication and interpersonal skills honed with an ability to learn new concepts quickly and develop innovative ideas, multitask, and interact with a wide range of people.

Emma Verkuijl

Finance Manager
